Title : Video Automation Quality Engineer
Location : Greenwood Village, CO
Job Type : Contract
Responsibilities:
Use the latest tools and techniques (currently J2EE, C#, XML, Web Services, EAI toolkit)
Develop and automate JAVA Unit tests using JUnit and JUnitPerf
Contribute feedback and guidance to the development of functional and technical specifications
Address software defects with timely resolutions
Work with other developers to follow standards and best practices for server configuration and test automation.
Effectively communicate and collaborate with different team members help inform one another about how to create features without jeopardizing other application or product areas.
Develop test applications and automation tools for java based server applications
Strong understanding of development methodologies
Work with video ops engineers to help set standards and define best practices for server configuration and test automation.
Effectively communicate and collaborate with different team members help inform one another about how to implement and configure features without jeopardizing other application or product areas.
Identify potential test applications and automation tools for java based server applications
Track and provide weekly team status.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of multiple protocols and commutation channels.
Knowledge of Head end systems & video components
Ability to define and identify new processes or process enhancements
An understanding of JAVA, Perl, and C++ applications running on Windows, Linux or Solaris environments
Be a team player, and have good communication skills
Attention to detail, and a commitment to quality work
Advanced configuration and support of advanced video equipment (e.g. VOD, controllers, multiplexing, digital transport, edge QAM).
Work with Engineering to design and test system designs.
Develop, design and implement electronic systems including audio, video and other multimedia equipment.
Analyze and evaluate new or improved electronic components.
Experience:
Ability to think analytically and to develop new or revised systems, procedures, and work flow.
Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, supervisors, and public.
Ability to prepare comprehensive reports and present ideas clearly and concisely in written and oral form.
Knowledge of Networking Principles
Education:
Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or equivalent job related experience/knowledge as determined by management.
